How We Select Top Programs

Curated selections of dedicated online business degrees that meet four required and two of four supporting criteria, from verified facts only. Not a numerical ranking; sponsors cannot buy inclusion.

What these selections are

Top Programs collections are editorial selections of English-taught online business degrees that meet published criteria. They are not numerical rankings: entries are not numbered, not scored and are listed alphabetically by school. We do not claim that any program is the best in the world or in a country.

Eligible scope

A program can be considered only if it is listed in the directory: a recognized bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree in one of eight business subjects, offered online and taught in English, with its awarding institution's legal recognition verified. Each collection covers one subject and considers only dedicated degrees in that subject; concentrations within broader degrees are listed on the subject pages but not selected here.

Criteria

Four criteria are required, from verified facts only:

  1. Recognized degree — legal degree-awarding recognition of the awarding institution in its own country.
  2. Curriculum fit — a dedicated degree in the subject.
  3. Online delivery clarity — verified online delivery, and a verified statement about campus attendance (required, optional or none).
  4. Tuition transparency — tuition published with its currency, basis and fee category.

At least two of four supporting criteria must also be met:

  • Accreditation — business-school or program accreditation recorded from an official page.
  • Published student support — online student services published by the institution.
  • Admissions transparency — verified entry requirements or test policies.
  • Evidence depth — at least five groups of verified facts.

When more than 15 programs in one subject qualify, the threshold rises to three of the four supporting criteria, so a collection stays a selection rather than a list of every program.

Each entry shows which criteria it meets and a short rationale written only from those facts.

What we do not use

We do not use or invent acceptance rates, prestige or reputation scores, salaries, employment rates or other graduate outcomes. We do not compare tuition in different currencies or on different bases. A missing fact never counts in a program's favor.

Limitations

Selections reflect the programs we have verified so far; many eligible programs worldwide are not yet researched, and some institutions' websites could not be read by our verification tools. A program that is not selected may simply lack published information. Facts change: confirm everything with the institution.

Independence

Sponsors cannot buy inclusion or position in a collection, and sponsorship is not an input to selection. Paid placements elsewhere on the site are labelled "Sponsored" and shown separately. An institution can ask us to correct a fact; if the corrected facts meet the criteria at the next review, the program is considered like any other.

Criteria at a glance

  • Recognized degree — The awarding institution holds legal degree-awarding recognition in its own country, recorded from an official source.
  • Curriculum fit — A dedicated degree in the subject — not a general degree with a concentration or a few relevant modules.
  • Online delivery clarity — Online delivery is verified, and the official page states whether campus attendance is required.
  • Tuition transparency — Tuition is published with its currency, basis and fee category.
  • Accreditation — Business-school or program accreditation (AACSB, EQUIS, AMBA, ACBSP or a relevant professional body) recorded from an official page.
  • Published student support — The institution publishes online student services such as advising, library access or career support.
  • Admissions transparency — Entry requirements or test policies are published and verified.
  • Evidence depth — At least five groups of verified facts (length, tuition, admissions, tests, deadlines, attendance, curriculum, accreditation, funding).

Version 1.0. Data period: Facts verified on official pages, October 2026. A missing fact never counts as met. Programs whose pages could not be read by our tools are not considered until verified.
